ADAM WADLEY - JV Head Coach

Varsity Assistant Head Coach

    This will be Coach Adam's 10th year coaching at Lakewood. Adam is a Wilson High graduate where he played 3 years on the varsity team and was named 1st Team All Moore League and the Steve Lewis Award winner his Junior and Senior year. He was also named 2nd Team Press-Telegram Dream Team that same year. While at Wilson he played for Coach Cookie all four years he was at Wilson.


    After Wilson, Adam went on to play at Long Beach City College where he helped the Vikings to two consecutive Quarterfinal appearances. Adam then transferred to Cal State Dominguez Hills and was an assistant coach at Long Beach City College where he helped lead the Vikings to the 2016 State Championship and Goldenwest Volleyball Club. Adam's 2016, 2018, 2019 & 2021 JV teams were all league champions under his tutelage. 


    During his club years, Adam played for Highline Volleyball club. His teams finished 2nd in the 16s club division, 9th in the 17s club division, and finished 5th in the 18s club division where alumni Devon Taylor was his assistant coach. Adam also helped Coach Devon and Coach Sean with the boys team that won league 2015. Last year Adam coached again at Goldenwest Volleyball Club with the 15's and 17's division. Adam's 17's team earned 3rd place at the AAU National Championships in Orlando Florida upsetting the #1 overall seed in the playoff bracket 1st round. This year Adam coaches the 17-Asics team to add another year of club under his belt.

   

    Adam carries a credential in Kinesiology and has subbed in the LBUSD school district and has been teaching at Lakewood High School.
